Live Work Airstream Upfit

Recently, we helped a solo traveler and entrepreneur transform their Airstream Caravel into a much more practical and comfortable living and work space.

The process involved replacing the dinette with a small desk and lounge to make it more suitable for remote working and comfortable for lounging, eating, and occasionally entertaining a few friends.

We installed an adorable loveseat-style couch with a removable, multifunctional side table that now offers a comfortable space for lounging and eating.  Additionally, a small ottoman extends the couch, adds extra seating space when having company, and offers additional storage.

The side table is height adjustable and swivels into many positions, which can be used for eating, entertaining, or as an extension to the desk. It is also removable, which opens up the new space even more.

The new desk features a convenient cubby with an outlet to charge a laptop or other devices and store them while not in use, and a printer slide-out with paper storage. There are also tie-downs to secure an office chair and ottoman while going down the road.

We also removed the overhead storage sliding doors, replaced them with solid flip-up doors, and added new, dimmable LED puck lights to the overhead storage compartments. The custom magazine cubbies, new cabinet hardware, curtains, and carpet tile flooring round out the new live/work space, making it perfect for anyone who wants to be productive while on the go.
